Jets name new communications manager
The Winnipeg Jets today announced they have named Keegan Goodrich their new manager of hockey communications.
Goodrich comes to True North Sports & Entertainment Limited and the Winnipeg Jets Hockey Club from Hockey Canada where he was media relations coordinator from 2010-14 working with Canada’s National Men’s Under-18 Team, National Junior Team and National Sledge Team where he won a World Championship in 2013. Goodrich was also part of the bronze medal winning Canadian team at the Winter Paralympic Games in Sochi, Russia. While at Hockey Canada, Goodrich also worked numerous domestic events including the 2011 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge in Winnipeg.
Prior to working at Hockey Canada, Goodrich was the media/community relations director with the Swift Current Broncos of the Western Hockey League beginning in 2008. Before working in Swift Current, he was the media relations/marketing manager for the Merritt Centennials of the British Columbia Hockey League where he also served as the team’s play-by-play broadcaster from 2004 to 2008. His media experience includes time as an on-air host with Radio NL in Merritt, B.C. and with AM 730 Mojo Sports Radio in Vancouver. Goodrich graduated the British Columbia Institute of Technology’s Broadcast Communications program in Burnaby, B.C.
Goodrich is originally from Coquitlam, B.C., and his family includes wife Amanda and two sons, Drayson and Colton.
