Suspect arrested following North End home invasion

The Winnipeg Police have arrested a suspect following a frightening home invasion late on Sunday night. The incident occurred on the 600 block of Pritchard Avenue.

The male suspect allegedly used considerable force while breaking into the North End home before confronting both a male and female occupant. To make a scary situation much more dangerous, two small children were present inside the home at the time of the invasion.

Both the 30-year-old male and the 25-year-old female home occupants were taken to hospital with injuries sustained during the intrusion. They are listed in stable condition. The children did not require medical attention.

Local police have apprehended the suspect. He is facing numerous charges including Aggravated Assault, Break and Enter and Robbery.
