Gas Prices to Drop for Long Weekend

WINNIPEG, MB. – It is widely anticipated that gas prices in Winnipeg will fall just in time for the long weekend. If you are planning a long family getaway by way of the road, be sure to hold off filling up your tank until at least Friday evening or Saturday morning as prices should work their way to a surprising low.

With many stations around the city already waiving their ten cent operating costs, prices are currently hovering around 91-94 cents per litre in Winnipeg on Friday, and that number may even fall lower.

With the current high supply and low demand, local gas prices shouldn’t fluctuate much throughout the summer.

Wow , that’s not normal practice……….usually, as far back as I remember, we would get walloped 2 days before the long weekend.
