On August 12, 2014, just before 4 a.m., Lundar RCMP responded to a single-vehicle rollover on Highway 6, approximately 10 kilometres north of St. Laurent near Oak Point, Man. Initial investigation shows the southbound pickup truck hit the shoulder and rolled, landing in the west ditch, where the vehicle caught fire.

The two male occupants of the vehicle, both 24 years of age and from Winnipeg, were ejected from the vehicle. They were transported to local hospital with serious injuries.

Neither of the occupants was wearing a seatbelt. At this time, it is unknown if alcohol was a contributing factor to the collision.
