Table for 1200 More tickets on sale
Diners dressed in white will sit at one of the world’s longest dining tables again this weekend — except they don’t know where that will be yet.
Table for 1200 More is the third annual Table for 1200 event held in Winnipeg. Tickets are now on sale for the popular secret dinner.
The event, taking place on Saturday from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m., is a fun and exciting opportunity to engage in a public conversation about the value of architecture, design culture and the city.
“Table for 1200 More highlights Winnipeg’s emerging design scene by bringing together architecture, design, and the culinary arts to create an evening of entertainment and stimulating conversation in a unique setting,” said Curator and StorefrontMB Director, David Penner.
Participants are told an hour before the dinner where it will be. It was previously held at the Manitoba legislature and on the Esplanade Riel pedestrian bridge. Everyone in attendance is encouraged to wear white, paying homage to a Winnipeg White Out. There will also be a mad rush by table captains and diners to pop up their own tables, complete with table settings and décor. StorefrontMB has also planned a mini design competition for the best table setting with $1,200 in prizes.
There are only 1200 tickets available and you can purchase them online at tablefor1200more.ca.
