Theft from vehicle
As a result of an ongoing investigation into a theft from vehicles in the a residential area of Brandon’s west end from Aug. 17, a fourth individual, an 18-year-male, was located, arrested and charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and will appear in court on Oct. 20, 2014.
Business break and enter
An employee from a group home in the 1000 block of Lorne Avenue reported a break and enter that occurred between 6:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Aug. 22. Stolen was a laptop computer, as well as an iPOD 5.
At 3:08 a.m., Brandon police observed a vehicle driving in an erratic manner near 18th Street North and Highway #1. Police attempted to stop the car, which fled west on Highway #1 and then north onto a side road. The pursuit was eventually terminated by police after the car description and license plate was obtained by the pursuing officer. The investigation is continuing.
