Winnipeg’s Bridge Drive-In Celebrates 60 Years!

WINNIPEG, MB. – The Bridge Drive-In is back in business for another season! But it’s a very special season for Winnipeg’s iconic ice cream stand. The BDI is celebrating 60 years in business!

Justin Jacob tells me his wife’s family has owned the Bridge Drive-In since the early 1970’s and then the two of them took over operation of it a few years ago. The Bridge Drive-In started 2017 on March 18th but this past weekend was the busiest so far with temperatures rising into the upper teens on Saturday.
The Goog has been the BDI’s best-seller for many years but an item Justin says they introduced a few years ago, the Salsburg which features Nutella, is often outselling the Goog now.
