Winnipeg’s Amadians Sign Management Deal
WINNIPEG, MB. — Winnipeg indie rockers Amadians have signed a management deal.
They join Winnipeg band The Treble and activist Michael Redhead Champagne at POP Entertainment and Management.
Amadians features American singer-songwriter Courtney Devon, along with Canadian guitarist James Roth (Pushing Daisies) and drummer Kyle Fox (Panicland).
“It’s really a dream come true,” says Devon.
“POP’s work ethic, creativity and passion is something that aligns perfectly with our band. Angie, Dave, and Morgan are not only amazing at what they do, they are really great people and consummate professionals.”
The distinct sound of Roth’s guitar combined with Devon’s incredible vocal tone and range and the punchy warm attack of Fox on drums have created a sound that pushes the boundaries of conventional pop rock yet fits perfectly into today’s musical landscape.
The band is preparing to enter the studio to record their first single this summer for release in the fall.
Amadians have recently performed to several sold out crowds and look forward to debuting their full band line-up later this year.
“We are absolutely thrilled to welcome Amadians,” says POP Partner Angie Lamirande.
“We’ve been following this trio since they started writing together and are so excited with what we are hearing.”
Amadians have released a cover of Blondie’s Call Me as their first single.
“We feel like it’s a really great introduction to the band and the incredible vocal range of lead singer Courtney Devon,” says band co-founder and lead guitarist, James Roth “It’s a song that takes me back to my childhood. Growing up, my mom played Blondie on the family turntable every morning. Not a bad way to wake up.”
The band will play Le Garage in St. Boniface on Friday, June 23rd.
Showtime is set for 10:00pm.
