Winnipeg Trades For Reliever

WINNIPEG, MB – The Winnipeg Goldeyes have picked up right-handed reliever Josh Laxer in a trade with the Lincoln Saltdogs.

In return, the Saltdogs got pitcher Cameron McVey.

Laxer has a 4-1 record, with three saves and a 3.11 ERA in 49 total appearances over 3 pro seasons.

In 75 innings, Laxer struck out 60 batters, while walking 19.

Originally from Augusta Georgia, Laxer was drafted by the Detroit Tigers out of the University of Mississippi. In college, he had a 9-2 record with six saves, and a 3.23 ERA.

Tonight, the Goldeyes play the second of a four game series vs the Sioux Falls Canaries.
