WINNIPEG, MB – The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have made two signings, bringing in defensive end Jackson Jeffcoat and defensive back Chris Greenwood.
Jeffcoat played the last three years in the NFL, playing two years with Washington and most recently playing for Cleveland. He has nine tackles, one sack, one interception, and one forced fumble in nine games. Jeffcoat played college ball for the Texas Longhorns, starting 33 games. He had 203 tackles and 27.5 sacks in that time. Jackson also had 60 tackles for a loss, second most all-time in Longhorn’s history.
Greenwood spent last year on Winnipeg’s practice roster. He was a 5th round NFL draft pick of the Detroit Lions in 2012. He has spent time with both the Lions and the Minnesota Vikings. In college, Greenwood racked up 13 interceptions and was MIAA Defensive Player of the Year in 2011.
