Winnipeg Blue Bombers Scholarship

Investors Group Field - Winnipeg Blue Bombers

WINNIPEG, MB. –   The Jack Jacobs Scholarship presented by the Winnipeg Blue Bombers has a new sponsor this season.

Eagle Vision will be partnering with the Blue Bombers in presenting the Jack Jacobs Scholarship. Two $1000 scholarships will be awarded to Indigenous high-school students who plan on pursuing a post-secondary education and have a passion for football.
“We would like to thank Eagle Vision for their support with this scholarship,” said Wade Miller, President & CEO of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. “The Winnipeg Football Club believes in eliminating financial barriers to accessing education, and in supporting the goals of our youth.”

The scholarship is named after Jack Jacobs, a Muscogee (Creek) Indigenous person, who was the star quarterback of the Blue Bombers from 1950-1954. Jacobs was inducted into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame in 1963 and to the Winnipeg Football Club Hall of Fame in 1984.
“We are excited to help give this opportunity to two deserving young Indigenous athletes,” said Lisa Meeches, Eagle Vision Partner.
The deadline to apply for the Jack Jacobs Scholarship is June 12th, click here https://www.bluebombers.com/jack-jacobs-scholarship/ for more details.
The scholarships will be presented to the recipients during the July 13th Blue Bombers home game.
