Winnipeg Based SkipTheDishes Sold To British Rival For $110 Million


Winnipeg, MB – SkipTheDishes, the popular online food delivery business, has been sold to Just Eat plc – a British based competitor.

Skip the dishes has a current user base of around 350,000, and is the second recent acquisition for Just Eat. HungryHouse – another British online food delivery company – was bought by JustEat for $278 million.

SkipTheDishes is expected to make a profit of $23.5 million when this year has come to a close.

SkipTheDishes was founded in 2013, and since its inception has captured a growing share of Canada’s $2.5 billion online food delivery market.
