Winnipeg Adds Right-Handed Pitcher

WINNIPEG, MB – The Winnipeg Goldeyes have signed right-handed pitcher Brandon Quintero.

Quintero has made four starts this year with the Cleburne Railroaders. He went 0-1 with a 4.24 ERA in 17 total innings pitched.

Quintero was a draft pick of the Chicago White Sox, having been selected in the 16th round from California State University.

In his rookie year, he played 54 innings for the Arizona Rookie League affiliate. Since then, he has played for three different White Sox affiliate teams, allowing only 5 home runs in 89.2 career innings.

With the signing, the Goldeyes are now at the league maximum of 23 players.

Winnipeg continues their series against the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks tonight at 6:00 pm.
