Uber In Winnipeg?

WINNIPEG, MB – The Manitoba government will introduce legislation tomorrow that could pave the way for Uber in Winnipeg.

The legislation is called the Local Vehicles for Hire Act.

It is reportedly based upon consultations with the public, stakeholders, the Taxicab Board, and others.

Early reports are that the regulations will require licensing and driver screening procedures for prospective Uber operators.
