Two Domestic Assault Arrests In Brandon

BRANDON, MB — Brandon police reported two domestic assault arrests in the past 24 hours.

The first happened just before 9:00pm Monday night at a home in the 1000-block of 7th Street.

A 21-year-old man had fled the residence by the time police arrived despite a curfew order.

They were able to track him down around 10:30pm.

No injuries were reported in the assault.

The accused has been charged with Domestic Assault and Breach of Recognizance.

He was detained at the Brandon Correctional Centre and had a preliminary hearing Tuesday.

Groin Kick

A 29-year-old Brandon woman is facing charges for assaulting her boyfriend Sunday night.

Police were called around 8:33pm Monday evening.

The victim told them his girlfriend punched him in the face and kicked him in the groin.

The woman was arrested and charged with Domestic Assault.

She was released on a promise to appear in February.
