Suspicious Death in Shamattawa

Homicide Police RCMP Crime Scene - Winnipeg Police

SHAMATTAWA, MB. – The Shamattawa RCMP are investigating the death of a 28-year-old man in the Manitoba community.

Around 6:20 pm yesterday, RCMP were called to a home in Shamattawa following a report of an aggravated assault that had just occurred between two males.

When police arrived they found a 28-year-old male in the home. He was transported to the nursing station with life-threatening injuries where he later died.

Police confirmed, in a release, that a 17-year-old has been arrested and is currently in police custody.

RCMP did not provide any names or further detail at this time. MyToba News continue to follow the story and will provide more information as it becomes known.
