Summer Fun at Assiniboine Park

WINNIPEG, MB. – It’s summer in the city, finally, and that means the fun begins in Winnipeg.

The Assiniboine Park Conservancy (APC) announced their line-up of musical acts, movies and art exhibitions which make up the Casinos of Winnipeg Summer Entertainment Series.

The events will run from June through August at Assiniboine Park and the entire series is offered free to the public and made possible solely through sponsorship and donor support. This year’s schedule features more than 30 events including live music at the Lyric Theatre, jazz in the Leo Mol Sculpture Garden, art exhibits at the Pavilion, and returning for its seventh season, the very popular – Movies in the Park.

“We are so excited for this year’s talent-filled lineup at the Lyric and throughout the Park,” said Laura Curtis, Manager of Marketing and Communications. “It’s wonderful to see Manitobans join us year after year to enjoy music and entertainment in this beautiful setting. We are also thrilled to have Casinos of Winnipeg join as title sponsor this year, helping us make arts and culture accessible to everyone.”

This year’s events kick off on June 21st at 7 pm with Yoga in the Park, a free yoga event to celebrate International Yoga Day and the new weekly yoga classes that will held every Wednesday morning at the Lyric Theatre.
