SoLo GI Energy Bars Recalled Over E. Coli Concerns

WINNIPEG, MB. — SoLo GI brand energy bars are being recalled because they may contain E. coli.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency issued the notice Saturday.

It covers several varieties of the energy bar, which are listed below:

Less severe cases of E. coli poisoning can include nausea, vomiting, abdominal cramp, and bloody diarrhea.

Severe cases can cause seizures, strokes, permanent kidney damage, or even death.

Life long injuries can result in victims needing blood transfusions and dialysis.

The recall was triggered by another country. No illnesses have been reported in Canada.

Do not consume the affected product and return it to the store for a full refund.
