Rock ‘N’ Roll and Burgers in Lockport

LOCKPORT, MB. –  The 5th Annual Rockin On The Red festival, in support of Children’s Rehabilitation Foundation, is happening in Lockport at the Half-Moon today.

“We throw a big party for a great cause,” says Wayne McIntosh, ‘Top Dog’ and owner of the Half Moon Drive In. “It’s great to see the community come together at a landmark Manitobans hold so dearly to sing along to their favourite classic songs and enjoy the petting zoo, great food, and firework shows– all to raise money for such an important organization.”

The Children’s Rehabilitation Foundation (CRF) is a Manitoba charity focused on helping children living with disabilities and special needs. CRF is a vital and integral part of the Manitoba “children’s disability” landscape, offering important services and purchasing equipment for those families most in need.

CRF exists because children with disabilities and special needs should have the same opportunities as other children to learn, play and grow. CRF purchases specialized equipment and provides operating funds for adapted recreation programs that are not funded by any other source.

The money raised during Rockin on the Red will go directly to the purchase of a mobility bike for a child who needs it.

The festival is filled with FREE activities including fireworks, inflatable rides, magicians, face painters, and a petting zoo.
