Nationwide Manhunt Leads Police To Winnipeg Murder Suspect
WINNIPEG, MB – On November 28, 2016 James Jewel and Michael Fless are suspected of murdering Benjamin Traverse, in addition to shooting two others people.
Traverse was shot dead in the 400 block of Pritchard Avenue. He was only 39 years old.
Later, Jewel and Fless are suspected of robbing two people, forcing them into their car, and driving them to Raleigh Street in East St. Paul.
Both victims were then shot. They survived their wounds.
Jewel was arrested by Winnipeg Police on January 6, 2017. He has been charged with attempted murder, kidnapping, robbery with a firearm, and robbery.
On December 7, 2016, a nationwide warrant was issued for Fless.
Today, the Waterloo Ontario Police Service found Fless. He has been charged with second degree murder, attempted murder, kidnapping, robbery using a firearm, and failing to comply with probation.
He remains in custody.
