Multiple People Dead In Shooting At Fort Lauderdale Airport

World News – 5 people are dead, and at least 8 are wounded after a gunman opened fire opened fire at Terminal 2 of the airport.

Terminal 1 and the Terminal 1 parking garage has been evacuated. Terminal 2 serves some Air Canada flights.

Law enforcement has identified 26-year-old Esteban Santiago of New Jersey as the suspect.

Earlier media reports said Santiago was on an Air Canada flight, but AirCanada refuted that on Twitter:

Reports say Santiago appeared to fire randomly into the crowd until he ran out of bullets.

Santiago surrendered to police, and was taken into custody.

Authorities are currently investigating whether there is any further threat at the airport.
