Manitoba Welcoming Real Estate Leaders

WINNIPEG, MB – The Manitoba government is pleased to welcome real estate leaders from across North America who are visiting Winnipeg this week to learn about the province as part of an inbound trade mission, Growth, Enterprise and Trade Minister Cliff Cullen announced today.

The delegation includes representatives from the United States and Canada including Arizona, California, Florida, Illinois, Minnesota, Missouri, New York, Texas, Virginia, British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Ontario, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island.

“Manitoba has a vibrant and diversified economy with competitive costs for doing business, including an affordable real estate market for both home and commercial development,” said Cullen.  “By building stronger partnerships with communities and industry partners, together we can create new opportunities and a brighter future for all Manitobans.”

The trade mission centres on the first-ever Certified International Property Specialist Leadership Invitational being held outside of the United States.  Throughout the week, Realtors will focus on international real estate transactions and how best to serve home and property buyers from around the world, while also experiencing the vibrant opportunities Manitoba has to offer.

Manitoba Realtors are committed to developing the enterprise and growth potential that exists within the province, as well as highlighting the importance of maintaining dynamic and open trading relationships with international partners that invest and trade with Manitoba.

“As Realtors, we see first-hand the vital role that trade and economic development plays in creating jobs, supporting entrepreneurs, strengthening our communities, and sustaining a strong and balanced real estate market,” said Chris Pennycook, president, Manitoba Real Estate Association.  “By demonstrating the limitless opportunities and advantages that exist in Manitoba through this inbound trade mission, we’re proud to play a role in helping to realize our province’s economic development potential.”

Together with the provincial government, Manitoba Realtors support a partnership-based approach to promoting and attracting investment to the province.

“In Manitoba, we value working together and with our neighbours, and that work helps us prosper as a community,” said Pennycook.  “All Manitobans benefit from trade and economic development, and all Manitobans can play a role in helping to drive opportunities to our province through our various networks in our respective sectors.”
