Manitoba Blizzard Fall To Rampage

WINNIPEG, MB – After a 14-9 win over the Edmonton Warriors, The Manitoba Blizzard were beaten 11-9 by the Red Deer Rampage Saturday night.

Despite scoring just 44 seconds into the game, the Blizzard fell behind after two Rampage goals.

After evening things up to end the first period, the rest of the game was a back-and-forth battle with both teams exchanging the lead.

While Manitoba led by as much as two goals later in the game, the Rampage managed to take a 10-9 lead, and then clinched the victory at the 18:27 mark with a shorthanded goal for the final score of 11-9.

The Blizzard loss comes despite out-shooting the Rampage 41-38.

Blizzard head coach said the team made too many simple mental errors, adding, “Hopefully a good night’s sleep will right the ship tomorrow.”
