Man Out Stays Welcome At Brandon Home

BRANDON, MB. — A 31-year-old man is accused of being a bad house guest in Brandon.

It happened around 12:35am Wednesday at a home on Riverheights Drive.

Brandon police say the homeowner allowed the suspect to stay at the residence.

They soon noticed a quantity of cash and old out-of-circulation Canadian bills were missing.

The homeowner confronted the guest, but he became irate and confrontational.

Police attended the home, searched the man, and recovered the stolen property.

The man is charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.

He was detained overnight at the Brandon Correctional Centre for a preliminary hearing Wednesday.

The man remains behind bars.
