Jerry Daniels Elected Leader Of Southern Chiefs’ Organization

Long Plain First Nation, Manitoba – Jerry Daniels has been elected Grand Chief of the Southern Chiefs’ Organization.

The 34-year-old Daniels was elected on the fourth ballot.

Daniels is a member of the Long Plain First Nation, and replaces Grand Chief Terry Nelson. Daniels was defeated by Nelson in his first run for SCO leadership in 2014.

Daniels will serve a three year term.
