Feel Good Friday: Subway singer becomes a star

You may have heard of Mike Yung, the man with the phenomenal voice. After a cellphone video of him singing Unchained Melody by the the Righteous Brothers was posted online this month, he became an Internet sensation, appearing on The Late, Late Show with James Corden.

So how did a guy with pipes like this end up busking? Turns out he once had a recording contract with the same company as Etta James, but the company folded before his record was released.

To make ends meet, Yung sings on the subway and with several different bands. This isn’t the first time a video of him singing has gone viral, but perhaps this time it will make a real difference in his life. He’s working on his debut album, and his rendition of Unchained Melody is now available on iTunes.
