Adam West Dies At 88

WINNIPEG, MB. — Actor Adam West has died after a short battle with leukemia.

He was 88.

West became famous for his role as the titular character in the 1960’s television version of Batman.

The iconic portrayal somewhat typecasted West and he spent most of his career in small roles.

West debuted in 1959’s The Young Philadelphians, which starred Paul Newman.

In later years he landed a voice acting gig as the mayor in Family Guy.

West received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2012.

He leaves behind his wife Marcelle Tagand Lear and eight children.
