Winnipeg’s Don Amero nominated for Junos

Winnipeg’s Don Amero is up for two Junos early next month in Calgary: Aboriginal Album Of The Year and Adult Contemporary Album Of The Year for “Refined.” He’s nominated against some very big names in Canadian music including Jann Arden, Diana Krall and Buffy Sainte-Marie. These are Don’s second and third Juno nominations. He was a nominee in 2013 but didn’t win.

MyToba’s Hal Anderson has been following Don’s career for years and got a chance to talk with him recently. Hal’s interview also includes a bit of Don’s latest single “Falling Shouldn’t Feel That Way.”

Hal writes a weekly column on MyToba every Monday. Hal talks with his weather expert buddy Bruce Johnson on MyToba every Saturday. Hal has been broadcasting on radio and TV for over 30 years. Hal owns his own multimedia company, Hal Anderson Productions Limited, which specializes in video production.
